More Premium Brands Join ANUFOOD China by the Strong Momentum in Southern China

As the very first international Food & Beverage industry exhibition located in Southern China successfully closing the curtains in April, 2021, the new edition of the exhibition will be held on July 13-15, 2022 with a much upgraded scale exhibiting more diversified and comprehensive products to attract more professional visitors from both distribution and catering sectors in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Being one of the key sectors in the Food & Beverage industry, the catering sector scale has been growing consistently in the recent years. Based on National Bureau of Statistics, revenue growth on the catering sector has also been outpacing the GDP growth in the past decade. The catering sector revenue reached 2 trillion RMB in 2011 and the revenue climbed remarkably to 4.7 trillion RMB in 2019. Even heavily impacted by the pandemic in the first half of 2019, the full year revenue reached 3.95 trillion RMB. The 2021 catering revenue is estimated to return to 4.7 trillion RMB level.

Behind the doubled market size of the catering sectors lies the ever-growing demand of consumption on premium gourmet.

With the growth in the catering sector, the catering style has also been evolving into more diversified especially in the immigration GBA area led by Shenzhen.

The diversification is powered by the various kinds of premium food materials to enable the middle-high end restaurants coming to service, bringing quality catering experience to a certain proportion of the population.

However, one thing to notice is the relatively low concentration of the sector. The revenue of the top 100 restaurants in 2019 contributes only 7% of the whole revenue. Therefore, there are great room of improvement for the concentration of the sector, bringing benefits of smoother logistics and more competitive procurement pricing.

In light of the concentration situation of the sector, professional B2B industry exhibition can showcase its value in bringing industry peers under the same roof to play as a catalycst of the industry especially in the high momentum growing GBA region.

As a strong feedback from the market, there have been more and more premium food materials provider signing up for the new edition of ANUFOOD China 2022.

Among the meat exhibit, there are foreign companies confirmed to exhibit organized by trade associations such as Board Bia, INAC and Canada Beef as well as domestic exhibitors like Pudon International, Guangzhou ANZ, Guangzhou Taixian, Shenzhen Qinghuida etc. Seafood provider Aqunion and plant-based product provider Metameat also confirmed the application.

In addition, premium meat providers such as PMI, JBS, Agrosuper, VanDrie group, European Pork, UK AHDB and JAC have also shown great interest at ANUFOOD China 2022 and are the in the close negotiation with the organizer.

Benefited from the great progress of the global pandemic control & prevention, the leading global trade fair for the food and beverage industry Anuga is taking place on October 9-13, 2021. As one of the key satellite shows of Anuga, ANUFOOD China is going to make full use of this year’s flagship exhibition to use integrated methods to promote South China as one of the few booming markets after the pandemic to all the 4,000 exhibitors from 94 countries and present visitors of the exhibition.
