A huge potential for whisky consumption in China market
The latest official figures from UK show that mainland China has become the world's 4th largest direct export market for Scotch whisky in the first half of 2021, ranking close to the US, France and Singapore. The total value of exports is up a whopping 126% on the same period in 2020 and 120% on the same period in 2019. China is considered as the largest spirits market in the world and an important emerging market for the Scotch whisky industry.
